What Are Public Forms?

Public forms let Pianola collect structured information from people outside the main application.

They are usually accessed through a public form URL and can be used by applicants, visitors, customers, partners, suppliers, or other people who do not need access to the internal Pianola app.

What They Do

Public forms can:

  • collect answers through fields and choice lists
  • show explanatory text and section headings
  • support translated labels and options
  • save submitted information
  • allow the host application to process submissions into useful records

How They Differ from Internal Screens

Internal Pianola screens are built for users who work inside the application every day.

Public forms are built for people who need to submit information through a focused, guided experience. They should usually be simpler, more linear, and more self-explanatory than internal application screens.
