Submissions and Processing
When a public form is submitted, the answers are saved as a structured submission.
The application can then decide what to do with that submission.
Raw Submissions
A raw submission keeps the answers exactly as they were submitted.
This is useful for audits, troubleshooting, exports, or workflows where staff review submissions manually.
Processing Submissions
Submissions can also be processed into application records.
For example, a submission might become a registration, application, booking, order, contact, request, or task.
Processing Decisions
Project managers should define:
- what counts as a successful submission
- which records should be created or updated
- whether staff need to review submissions first
- what should happen when processing fails
- whether users can update an existing submission
