Prefilled Forms
Public forms can open with existing information already filled in.
This is useful when the application knows something about the submitter or when a user is completing an existing submission.
When to Use Them
Prefilled forms are useful for:
- private form links
- follow-up forms
- forms connected to an existing contact or account
- long forms that continue from a shorter pre-form
- forms where some information should be confirmed rather than entered again
Completing an Existing Submission
A form can be opened with an existing submission so the user can continue, correct, or complete information.
This can reduce repeated typing and help keep later submissions connected to the original process.
Privacy Considerations
Prefilled forms may contain personal or sensitive information.
Project managers should consider who receives the link, how long it should remain useful, and whether additional access protection is needed.
